Excitingly this morning I discovered our Cherry Delight Rattle on Kidstyle File, love that, it is one of my favourite places to visit to check out what is in stores.

Wow! Can you believe it!? Only 7 weeks until Christmas. I must say this year I am nearly organised. I have a pile of Christmas cards purchased STILL sitting on my desk after getting them 3 weeks ago…but that is one step closer to getting those out than I did last year! After this months Ollie Rose Newsletter I plan to start writing them so they don’t get pushed aside this year. Present front………..I think I am nearly there. I have a few that I am making, and hoping that I dont end up having to buy something because I never got around to making them, and a few other items for family I need to buy still but I feel pretty good that most of it is done.

On the Ollie Rose front……….I think I am also there too. We are offering 2 styles of applique tshirts for babies, dresses for girls 9 months and up (very limited stocks of these) and a few accessories like hair clips and bibs.

I just cant wait to set up our Christmas Tree! That is the bit that makes it feel like Christmas to meAt least this house has a bit more room than where we were last year as we have such a big tree. Putting that up this year should be fun as Sabre is the perfect age to know what it is all about and get exited. I must admit I have already been using the Father Christmas is watching if you are good line several times……..until she started nervously looking around the room when I said he was watching. We have been having monster issues for a while now, so telling her some big guy in a red suit with a beard is watching her when she doesnt understand probably isnt a good idea!

The only scary thing is………..if there are only 7 weeks until Christmas, that means there are less than 9 until a new baby joins our family! Yikes!

Very shortly you will find in stock some of our Babushka Dolls and her Baby.  It has taken Kobie a long time to get around these again, but yahahahahh they are done and will be ready next month.

In store are the handiest little mini wipes in the cutest prints. These swipe sized cotton wipes are great for popping in the nappy bag to wipe noses, bottoms, faces, sticky hands and more. They can then be washed and reused over and over. They are approx  10 x 10cm making them the perfect mini size for mini jobs. Eco mums who prefer a reusable wipe for nappy changes will love them.

Funky sock monkey print cottons backed in cotton towelling and top stitched. Packed in bundles of 4 different coordinating prints they are the perfect addition to new parent gift hampers.

Yes, Christmas is slowly making an appearance, the shops have started putting out decorations and you hear the whispers of Christmas about the place.

We have nearly finished a few Christmas bits to help make your day that bit more merry.  Here is a look at our 2 applique designed shirts that Kobie has been busy making.  Wait till you see the super sweet dresses she has made as well (but you will have to wait a bit longer for that one).

How fast the last month has flown by! With Dan on holidays we have spent some lovely time away and how the days just go! We started with a nice trip up to Coral Bay for a bit of winter warmth….

Then after this we headed down south to see family. Was great for Sabre to catch up with her cousins and friends and she had a fabulous time at animal parks and the Perth Zoo. Absolutely freezing but fun!

Then it was capped off with a fabulous warm week in Bali! I have only been one other time and loved it so we knew it would be the perfect family holiday to take my ever expanding belly and Sabre too. How quick a week can go over there! A daily routine of a huge in house breakfast buffet, few hours by the pool, rest in the room followed by lots and lots of walking in the afternoon, an early dinner and early nights. Was fantastic to be over there at the same time as my sister too so I had someone to hang beach and poolside with whilst the guys went out surfing!

Ok that’s enough gloating for now! It was a fantastic break away as I was very aware it will be a while before we get to do that again with a new baby arriving in the New Year. Have to get back to reality now! Lot of sewing to catch up on and lots of new things arriving in store soon.

Wow an exciting start to the day when I opened up KidstyleFile today to check out all the latest bargains, when I discovered this

You may (or may not) have noticed we have been very bad bloggers of late.  Things have been so busy, the poor old blog always gets neglected, but hopefully now we can keep up a bit.

Last month I had a quick getaway with the family up the coast. Living in Carnarvon is the perfect place to explore the amazing coastline north and south of us. The Bluff is a small camping area about an hour and half drive north. There is a small settlement where 2 families live permanently and run the camping grounds area. The camping is basic, pull up to the many little clearings along the ridge and make yourself at home. There are drop toilets (gasp-eeek…not an easy thing at the best of times let alone when you have pregnancy super sensitive smell and a very weak stomach!) but no other amenities so it is take all your own water and equipment. Luckily we were only going for 2 nights but the car was jam packed to the roof!

We found what appeared to be the perfect spot. The most spectacular view, a lovely little clearing that even had a little tree, perfect for some mid day shade, a semi walled camp fire, right next to a path leading down to the beach……..and did I mention the view?

We could basically watch the surf from the comfort of our little camp and the tide and swell made for some good conditions and it was very mesmerising watching it roll in all day. There were goats all over the ridge and kangaroo’s nibbling the grass around us in the evening.

If you don’t want to completely rough it there are some permanent tents set up to book. They looked pretty cool, open air set up, but it is the shower part for me that even with a permanent tent I would only last about 2 or 3 nights and I would start to feel a bit over it.

The second day there, the tide had gone out a bit and the swell dropped meaning we could have a dip in the shallows. Well Dan and Sabre did as there is no way I can go swimming unless it is at least 36 degrees! Seeing as it was only about 28,  I could only wade.

It was a lovely getaway which had us proclaiming over and over “we should do this more often”……and I am sure we will.
